Seiko 7T92 chronograph watches
Seiko 7T92 chronograph movement.
Also widely used is the Seiko 7T92 chronograph movement. If you really do not require the alarm function but are looking for a more precise stop watch 1/20th of a second.
The Seiko 7T92 movement had the sub dial at 12o-clock and had a 1/20th of a second indicator. The sub dial at 6 o'clock has hour and minute hands that maintain a record of the chronograph elapsed time up to twelve hours. The hands all tick once per sec like normal chronograph wrist watches, except the 1/20 second hand as it spins similar to a whirling dervish. Seeing it spin crazily is cool, nevertheless, you can pretty much think the battery power draining away.
Seiko 7T62 alarm chronograph movement.
The Seiko 7T62 Alarm Chronograph movement can be found in most Seiko and Alba Chronograph watches. This movement has a 2 handed alarm sub dial just above the 6 o' clock position and a 60 min chrono sub dial at 12 o' clock. The center Chronograph second hands tick five times per sec and thus mimics the movement of those found in more expensive Seiko chronograph. Therefore this movement can be used to measure 1/5th of a seconds.
For the alarm it is notvery loud-- it's not going to wake you from sleep, but canalert you discreetlyin daytime without making a nuisance of itself.
A very important thing about the alarm sub dial is that if not utilized for an alarm it can be offset to show a second time zone and due to the fact it has an hour and minute hand it can showall those special time zones which might be less than one hour difference.
